Why "Highway"?

The Russian word "магистраль" literally means "major road" and is applicable to an automobile road, a railroad, a navigable waterway and even an aviation route. But major railroad ("железнодорожная магистраль") translates to "mainline". And a "highway" is a major automobile road in the first place. (yes, there is "rail highway", but it's not just "highway" alone).

Is this film really refered as "Highway" somewhere?

Highway (1982 film) is a wrong title for a movie about railroad edit

Dear fellow editors,

The article Highway (1982 film) is a wrong title for a movie about railroad. The film is about a railroad train collision that led to a major disaster in the Soviet Union. The title "Highway" is completely wrong and misleading. This article must be titled "Magistral" (1982 film). The IMDb page on this film is pretty accurate. Your help correcting the title of this film's page would be appreciated. With respect to all Wikipedia's, Kotofski (talk) 19:34, 17 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
