Comments edit

Having looked this article over it is far too dominated by Plot, in fact really the plot is too exhaustive. Out of proportion with the notability of the work and the rest of the article. On the of the rest of the article, it needs more critical comment, reviews, notability related material, referencing, in -line citations and generally more "out of world" content. Hope that helps. Also it would be better it the article majored on the first publication and it in its original form. Notability in publishing is generally about it s first appearance. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 10:56, 19 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Plot summary edit

I removed the incredibly long plot summary and replaced it with the "Plot introduction". I've also removed some excessive detail about publication dates. --Tony Sidaway 22:39, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Reverting, because plot summary is seperate from plot intro just needs to be cleaned up and also publication infomation is part of an article, see wikiPoject Novels ArticleTemplate. Salavat (talk) 01:13, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Future Film edit

I read these books years ago and have always wondered why there was never a major film trilogy released based on the Rift War Saga by Raymond Feist. If anyone knows why or if anyone is working on this I would like to know and if not I would like to speak to someone about optioning this. Noakz (talk) 05:53, 30 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Author's preferred edition edit

This edition of the novel was published in 1992, in the UK at least, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of MAGICIAN's publication, not 2003.--Werthead (talk) 15:11, 18 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Magician (novel)Magician (Feist novel) – There are enough books called "The Magician", all of which have wiki pages mentioning the author, that it seems like a good idea to clarify which novel this is. ACB Smith (talk) 22:11, 25 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Support but better Magician (Raymond E. Feist novel) since the author is known by full name. What appears to be a local consensus on the books guideline has been in favour of removing first names of all authors, most of whom are not known as mononyms, but songs and albums etc. don't do this, no reason for a book to do per WP:CRITERIA and naturalness. • Support the current title should point to the disambiguation page -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 05:06, 26 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Support and redirect the current title to a dab page. "The" is often omitted when referring to titles, so it seems insufficient as a disambiguator (see, e.g., WP:THE). Also support considering the suggestion from In ictu oculi. —BarrelProof (talk) 21:22, 27 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
