Talk:Magic item

I still think this needs to be a disambiguation

edit

"Magic item" is a very vague phrase which has too many meanings, none of which have an authoritativeness about them that would seem to me to lead to this article being a disambiguation.

Also, as currently written, this article overlaps Artifact (fantasy). -Harmil 15:16, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Magic itemArtifact (fantasy) – The term "magic item" seems to be more D&D-terminology than use in other sources. In addition, this article seems to be more about the "artifact" concept, which could even refer to mythological items of the such ... which are usually called artifacts. So, I suppose this move request is per WP:COMMONNAME. (Note: I am suggesting "Artifact (fantasy)" since it already a redirect towards this page which also has content merged here; there may be a different disambiguator or a more WP:NATURAL title is suggested [that includes the word "artifact"] that may be more sufficient/plausible that my suggested title.) I have struck out part of my nomination statement to make it clear I've changed my stance on the necessity for the title to include "artifact". Steel1943 (talk) 06:47, 3 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
