Prior content in this article duplicated one or more previously published sources. The material was copied from: http://www.slguardian.org/story-of-madura-kulatunga-developer-of-madura-dictionary/. Copied or closely paraphrased material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.)

For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, and, if allowed under fair use, may copy sentences and phrases, provided they are included in quotation marks and referenced properly. The material may also be rewritten, providing it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Therefore, such paraphrased portions must provide their source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 17:41, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Note: a previous version of this page was deleted by Sphilbrick as an unambiguous copyright violation. Earwig's Copyvio Detector shows substantial problems in the re-created version too; subsequent editing seems to have reduced those to a more or less acceptable level – unless anyone disagrees? COI problem removed

User:CactusWriter 'Administrator & Senior Editor III' is already revised the entire article to comply with Wikipedia's content policies WP:NPOV, WP:PEACOCK, WP:PROMO, MOS:LASTNAME, WP:CLOSEPARAPHRASING, WP:IRI. I added User:Madura Kulatunga to the Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles and Template:Connected contributor to the Talk:Madura Kulatunga. Thank You. 112.134.109.94 (talk) 08:07, 11 September 2015 (UTC)

112', you are a WP:SPA for this article and there is no evidence you are independent of the subject of this article, and your IP traces to Sri Lanka and that makes it more likely you are just Madura editing under an IP address, instead of logging in. Please do not remove the tags - leave that for an independent editor. Jytdog (talk) 13:02, 11 September 2015 (UTC)

Is Justlettersandnumbers aware of the major copy edit (after the article was accepted) by CactusWriter? Regards—JAaron95 Talk 15:04, 11 September 2015 (UTC)

Indeed I am, Jaaron95 – please see my comment in the section above. It's because of CactusWriter's edits that the level of copyright infringement here has fallen to a more or less tolerable level (thank you, CW!). In my opinion the article could do with a good deal more of the same to bring it a little closer to what we expect an encyclopaedia article to be and a little further from the sources it is copied from. But that's just my opinion. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 16:53, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
Agreed. Thanks :) —JAaron95 Talk 17:05, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
@User:112.134.109.94, you seem to misunderstand the meaning of my edit summary. I only edited out what I considered to be the more egregious parts of the article, as was necessary, to try and bring it towards compliance. The policies and guidelines I cited were relevant to my edits -- however, it doesn't mean the article was completely edited, that no more editing was needed, nor that it was fully compliant with Wikipedia's content policies. Compliance is determined by consensus among all editors. (Please note that an "administrator" or "senior editor" tag is irrelevant here -- all editors are on an equal footing when determining editing requirements.) My own opinion is that the article fails on a number of issues and I am pleased to see that they are being addressed here and at the AFD discussion. CactusWriter (talk) 18:32, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
