Collecting more details for this Politician edit

Steps to improve this page should include:

  • Looking for (or requesting) an open source picture.
  • Gathering even more evidence of noteability for the sceptics out there.
  • Collecting more biographic information relevent to her political life.
  • As she is the archivist, we need to examine that archive.

Together we can make this a productive page, useful for people to seeking to understand this persion both as a candidate and exemplar of the OMRLP. The Surrealist Historian (talk) 09:53, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

There was quite a good profile of Mad Cow-Girl in the Sunderland Echo[1] from Friday, 15th April 2005. I'll drop her a line to see if she has a photo she could release into an open source environment such as Flickr.--91.106.39.78 (talk) 11:06, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I also find an exclusive interview with the Sunderland Echo[2] on Friday, 1st June 2001--91.106.39.78 (talk) 11:14, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
OMRLP very kindly provided an image, which I have now added. I have forwarded their permission to publish it to WikiCommons.--91.106.28.32 (talk) 12:34, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I was just coming back to report that I may have an outside chance of getting an image of Mad Cow-Girl soon but I'm delighted to see that this is in hand. I've been tracking news items while I've been away from the Wikipedia. The Sunderland Echo has expressed local affection for her [3] and the Daily Record [4] has declared for her. Both these profiles make clear that her noteability is not linked to her polling statistics. This is pretty consistant picture that the Telegraph's Three Line Whip blogger has also confirmed. Looks like we are uncovering more and more source material which can be added in to the article. I think having a national newspaper declare their support for someone must end any question about notability. I'll add a comment to the AfD discussion, and when I get time I'll add some more background into the article.--91.106.28.32 (talk) 19:23, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Comment edit

I draw editors attention to the following deletion log (Deletion log); 18:39 . . PhilKnight (Talk | contribs) deleted "Madcow (politican)" (WP:PROD, reason was non-notable joke candidate)

I don't think a deletion log will tell us much about Mad Cow-Girl. A log is just a piece of technical apparatus used within some application or another.--91.104.20.23 (talk) 11:50, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
No, but it does show that another article about MadCow has already been deleted for her being non-notable doktorb wordsdeeds 16:53, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Spelling mistake and duplication is most credible reason for deletion.86.137.245.217 (talk) 19:06, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

1961-2010? edit

There have been edits about the death of Mad Cow-Girl. I am trying to find a good source for this. Her own page implies she had died without explicity saying it. Anybody got a good source? Bevo74 (talk) 19:22, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nothing on Google News today. Perhaps it might be worth checking the websites of local newspapers? Skomorokh 19:24, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

An image used in this article, File:Madcowgirl02b.JPG, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request
