Strange edit by User:WikiRedactor on 16 February 2013

User:WikiRedactor did this edit on 16 February 2013 which was mostly for the better except in one respect: the description of Macy's, Inc. as a multinational corporation. The last time I checked, Macy's, Inc. was a U.S. company. The only overseas store is the Bloomingdale's in Dubai, which is operated by a local licensee. --Coolcaesar (talk) 08:40, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

Intro is a total mess, proposing to delete junk about former flagships of long-dead chains

I'm proposing to kick all the craziness about the former flagships in order to bring the intro into line with the Wikipedia Manual of Style. First, that information is really far more relevant to Macy's, not Macy's Inc. (Which also owns Bloomingdale's.) Second, on the merits, my attitude is, so what. It's the creative destruction of capitalism. Love it or leave it. (Of course, to be fair, O'Connor, Moffatt & Co. was dead long before I was born so like most California residents, I have no sentimental feelings towards it or any of the other Macy's legacy nameplates.) --Coolcaesar (talk) 01:13, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
