Page purpose edit

Found this page and not sure what its purpose is... Just about any plant material can be infused into a vegetable oil - but not many are. I removed several plants that were mentioned, but which I've never heard of being infused - and I'm an industrial chemist with 37 years experience, 17 of which have been making infused (macerated) oils for aromatherapists and herbalists. As the page stands, it gives little useful information about infused oils. Cjsunbird (talk) 13:13, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

According to this page's history, the list was split out from List of vegetable oils (currently a featured list) on August 1, 2006. (See also History from August 2006 at the vegetable oil list page).
Also, there's a related thread at the end of Talk:List of vegetable oils#Clarifying lead section, (to which I've added a "Maceration" subheading).
I don't have any useful input on the issue itself, but hopefully those pointers will help. :) -- Quiddity (talk) 20:21, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
