IV edit

His great-grandfather, per his article here, was "Vernor Winfield Smith", without the McBriare (some sources giving Mac deMarco's full original name spell it "MacBriare"- actually, the article lead and infobox conflict on this, which might want sorting out!); his son's obituary (Mac deMarco's grandfather) gives HIS name as "Vernor Winfield M[a]cBriare Smith" (making no mention of "Jr", but perhaps that'd be a bit odd in an old man whose father is long dead), and mentions HIS son, "Mac (Jr)", whose name is therefore also presumably "Vernor Winfield M[a]cBriare Smith", presumably "III", i.e. Mac deMarco's father. But if the great-grandfather didn't have "McBriare", the grandfather's name which includes it isn't exactly the same, so he can't be a Jr, meaning HIS son isn't a III, and in turn Mac deMarco isn't a IV; rather, as the obituary suggests, deMarco's father is "Jr"; where did the IV come from? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.145.188.254 (talk) 14:57, 7 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
