Registration

edit

The ship is registered in Togo a small African nation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.119.210.17 (talk) 17:57, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Is this cited in the article? --AussieLegend (talk) 18:55, 20 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes you just need to learn Japanese or have it Translated. The flag HAS BEEN PULLED! They are a stateless vessel and will be boarded by Coast Guard if they go near a countries ports —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.119.210.17 (talk) 21:30, 20 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

as of yet, the japanese are the oly ones who say the registry has been pulled. that means, as sea shepherd said, that either togo is ivng n to japanese pressure, or this is gonna be a big slap to the face of japan if it dosnt get pulled. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.115.204.217 (talk) 01:14, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The latest Sea Shepherd press release indicates that the Bob Barker is now headed back to port, so I think the vessel's registration status will be clarified in the next week or so based on whether the Australian government allows them to dock or not. 66.66.121.51 (talk) 19:56, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Both SSCS vessels have been raided wiht Logs, GPS and film footage being seized. This was done by a joint AFP task force under warrant from Rudd. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.119.210.17 (talk) 07:04, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

not really raided. they just let the police on. 69.115.204.217 (talk) 21:48, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

MV or M/Y

edit

This article was recently moved from Bob Barker (ship) to MV Bob Barker. However, in the infobox the latest registraion information refers to "M/Y", which seems more in keeping with the vessels current registration as it isn't a merchant vessel, but which is correct, MV or M/Y? --AussieLegend (talk) 00:31, 10 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sea Shepherd register it as a Motor Yacht (MY). I think MV has been used for the article name incorrectly. I'd support moving to MY Bob Barker as per WP:NC-SHIPS. JonEastham (talk) 11:39, 10 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
