I have followed MLS since its inception, and have not heard anyone outside of a single BigSoccer thread original poster reference any Wooden Spoon. I suspect that it was this person on BigSoccer who created this page in the first place. Has there been any official recognition of the "Wooden Spoon" by MLS or any fan group? -sousaisgood

Merge being undertaken edit
I have proceeded to merge most of the information of this article into the wooden spoon (award) article, as per the decision to merge. Please verify the formatting and any missing links from this article (as the wooden spoon article lacks an external links section, merging that list was not advisable). It is time to un-merge the MLS Wooden Spoon article edit
As I mentioned on the Wooden Spoon talk page, the award has grown in prominence since the previous decision to merge the MLS Wooden Spoon page was made. (There has been a physical trophy passed between supporters' groups since 2015 and the award is recognized by the Independent Supporters Councils of North America.) I propose the article is reverted to its pre-merge state. Happy to help fill in the missing 11 years. OttomanFootfan (talk) 22:34, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
