I added information regarding how MafA plays a role in insulin regulation, specifically elaborating on its interaction with beta cells. I also looked into some other possible interactions MafA has. Previously there was very little information present on the page, probably because the subject is not well known. However, I decided to add the section regarding insulin once I began finding numerous scientific articles proving MafA is involved with insulin regulation. I would like to find out how MafA interacts with the other genes presented on the article page at some point.
