Article issues edit

Please read Wikipedia’s notability guideline for biographies and add to the article why he is notable by that standard. This is a very important issue; if it is not addressed, the article may be speedily deleted.

Please read also the guideline for reliable sources and add to the article citations to sources for claims of notability and other facts.

Please read also Wikipedia:linking and add links to other articles like impressionist and Latvia at the first mention of the subjects. —teb728 t c 21:29, 23 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

It seems like it could use more internal references, but the subject having been a subject of a book, as well as have influence on Latvian disposra art, establishes the notability for me. They have been reviewed in the NYT, etc. seems to further establish notability. It would be nice to reference these line and verse (ideally using the ref tags) but I don't see notability as an issue at all. --TeaDrinker (talk) 17:45, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I would expect a notable artist to qualify under one of the categories of WP:CREATIVE, but I can’t tell from the article that he does. The article says he was part of the diaspora, but I can’t tell from the article that he influenced it—much less had the significant influence of the notability guideline. The article says he was mentioned by German and NYT critics, but I can’t tell from the article whether they gave him significant coverage or just mentioned him. Apparently his main profession was architectural drawing not painting. —teb728 t c 21:17, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

External links modified edit

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Mārtiņš Krūmiņš. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. COI for article creator edit

Please note that the article creator is likely also the niece of the subject. The username is the same as the domain name for this site about the artist, which identifies him as uncle: http://martinskrumins.perkons1.com/about.html. There are a few sources, but in Latvian, so I'm not going to make a call re: notability, though I have my doubts. --Theredproject (talk) 02:56, 11 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Removal of Notability and COI templates edit

Hi @Ravenswing: I noted you removed the Notability and COI templates without any discussion here, or addition of any sources. Which reliable sources are you able to find that cover the subject in depth, that are sufficient to establish GNG or NARTIST? The article is almost unsourced, and the implied sources aren't all verifiable. For example, I couldn't find the mentioned NYT, to determine if it was just passing, or substantive [1] or [2] Theredproject (talk) 18:56, 6 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
