I just happened to have met a consulting geologist in the Lillooet area during a field trip there back in the early '00s; among other points in our discussions I remember a comment of his that Lytton Mountain is part of the same formation as the western Clear Range and I think the immediately adjacent northeasternmost Lillooet Ranges, and I think also the Camelsfoot Range and Fountain Ridge. There's probably a MINFILE report on the geology here, as there is for nearly anywhere in BC, and beacuse the Lytton Mining Cmopany had been active in the area, though for gold or copper or what I don't know. There was/is also a transplanted elk population on the mountain but I don't know how it's fared since the big forest fires of the '80s and '90s, one of which almost wiped out the town of Lytton....Skookum1 (talk) 18:15, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
