Since I started this article but wasn't entirely sure of all the conventions I think its prudent to start the discussion page with that admission. First of all, I have to say I did rush this article a little bit since its late. I didn't look extensively for other military personnel who have had public lives before or during their military service but I thought that since the section that I covered was almost all regarding public service I thought that was the best heading (as opposed to personal life or 'civilian career'). I don't know that this article will stand the test of time, however I did check to see if there were other high ranking female officers with articles and there were, and I had not heard of them so I guess, at least at present Lyn is equally significant. I also may not have gotten some of the terminology correct such as my reference to 1RAR. Anyone who knows the military better or has more concise references please go ahead and improve this article.--Senor Freebie (talk) 13:22, 25 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
