While other pages exist for both lymphotoxin alpha and lymphotoxin beta, on this page I plan to provide a general overview about the lymphotoxin protein, its role as a cytokine in the immune system, and a description of each type. I will also elaborate on lymphotoxin involvement in health issues such as cancer and viral infections, and how the protein can be used for treatment of these conditions and related health issues. In regards to this project, I will be making edits to Lymphotoxin alpha instead of this page since I believe this page is very vague. I think that this page should instead be linked to either lymphotoxin alpha or beta. Thus, everything that is mentioned on this page should be moved to either lymphotoxin alpha or beta.
