Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales data for Nielsen since March 1, 1991 (jobs Friday).

Those below the 10th listing are fictional
There is no referencing to show where this data came from, and therefore the list is presenting figures as facts. Although it is a forum so cannot be referenced, the following shows a breakdown of sales per annum [http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22680] till 2007 and ties in closely to previous charts and press releases from Soundscan since 1999. Refer Best-selling albums in the United States since Nielsen SoundScan tracking began where you can see the albums shunted off the bottom. Therefore this data should be removed.
