"The Honourable"

5 star movement members of parliament do not take the title of "honourable" [1] Bergmanucsd (talk) 04:29, 13 September 2016 (UTC)bergmanucsd

Inaccuracie

I don't know if in the English Wikipedia you do care about being accurate as we do in the Italian version, but you should consider that there is no such thing as the "candidate for the position of Prime Minister" in the Italian system, nor the electoral law implies that the first party will be able to form the Government on its own, since the law is mostly proportional. Though, the electoral law contemplates the role of "leader" of the political movement, and Di Maio was elected (internally in the M5S) in this role. Moreover, the part "In 2017 Beppe Grillo announced that he would campaign in the 2018 election, but he would not be the candidate for the position of Prime Minister, even if many critics accused him of being, in case of an electoral win, the de facto head of the government. Immediately, Di Maio was widely considered as the "front runner" and the most likely candidate for the premiership of Italy" doesn't really make sense to an Italian, and the reference doesn't say so. I don't edit the page myself since I'm not a native speaker, but I'll thank you if you'll consider my suggestions. Ripepette (talk) 19:35, 24 February 2018 (UTC) P.S.: I can't find anything stating that Roberto Fico is "leader of the M5S left-wing faction and rival of Di Maio and Di Battista" (again, the ref doesn't say so), nor I get what does it mean the adjective "populist" referred to Di Battista, since the whole M5S is considered to be populist.

This part is completely false:

On 12 July 2017 Di Maio was formally investigated for defamation following a police report filed by Marika Cassimatis, former M5S mayoral candidate in Genoa, while on 28 July 2017 the journalist Elena Polidori made a police report against him for defamation. He decided to use parlamentary immunity despite having previous criticized the privilege and pledging never to avail himself of it.

Di Maio was never actually charged of any offence for defamation. A complain was filed by Marika Cassimatis for defamation and was archived after a preliminary investigation. Di Maio never received a notification being investigated of a crime and thus he couldn't have renounced to his immunity. This has been confirmed by his lawyer.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Borninbronx (talkcontribs) 19:06, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

Position of Deputy Prime Minister: Vacant or Abolished?

The infobox states for Deputy Prime Minister: "Succeeded by: Vacant". Shouldn't it rather be "abolished" instead of "vacant"? The new government is no longer using the position of Deputy Prime Minister, doesn't that mean that they abolished it? So I would say it's not vacant (which would mean the post was only currently empty and would soon get a new appointment).

58.145.188.247 (talk) 14:41, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
