Possibly bogus citation

edit

Born Cora Calhoun in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she studied music theory at Roger Williams University and Knoxville College in Nashville, Tennessee.

Roger Williams seems to have started in the 1950s, although a preceding institution dates to 1919. I tend to be suspicious of references to books withiut online links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.195.108.189 (talk) 17:52, 13 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes, the link is wrong. Compare with Roger Williams University. 5lkdl (talk) 15:55, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Eight brothers and sisters?

edit

Hey there,

I‘ve got a question about Lovie‘s sisters and brothers: Were they really nine children (“she had eight brothers and sisters“) in total? The source refers to geni.com page that only mentions a Lovie Balance. Parents were a certain William Austin (which can‘t really be, since she was née Calhoun/Taylor) and his wife Mogieannah. Researchers Eagle/LeBlanc suggest a Lillie Taylor as her mother; findagrave.com gives a certain Arthur Calhoun as her father‘s name.

I think the source of Eagle/LeBlanc is true. What do you think? All the best --5lkdl (talk) 18:58, 18 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
