- Love Thy Neighbor (TV series) → Love Thy Neighbor (U.S. TV series)
- Love Thy Neighbour (TV series) → Love Thy Neighbour (Singaporean TV series)
- Love Thy Neighbour → Love Thy Neighbour (1972 TV series)
Love Thy Neighbour (UK TV series) → Love Thy Neighbour (2011 TV series)
– The difference in regional spelling between the US and other versions shouldn't be used to not disambiguate. Readers from parts of the world that use one type of spelling for the word "Neighbor"/"Neighbour", will not think about how the name of the TV series might be written in the original country, but will use the spelling they know. There are 2 UK TV series so the country can't be used there and the year needs to be used instead. Both the Singaporean and the 2001 are currently WP:INCDAB. Gonnym (talk) 13:03, 26 February 2019 (UTC) Edit: corrected proposal per comments bellow. --Gonnym (talk) 17:22, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Support as per nom – this seems straight-forward (as per WP:NCTV). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 15:22, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose as proposed. Why do you want to disambiguate some by year and others by country? Love Thy Neighbour (2011 TV series) would be ambiguous since both the Singaporean and the recent UK series are from that year. There's also a good case for Love Thy Neighbour remaining as a primary topic. PC78 (talk) 15:50, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Because "by country" disambiguation under WP:NCTV is generally "preferred", whenever it's possible, as more WP:RECOGNIZABLE to readers. The only reason 2 of these are getting "by year" disambig. is because they're both UK TV series. The other two can get "by year" redirects, but are better disambig'ed by country. Also what's the evidence that the 1972 series is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC? --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:28, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Long term significance and usage, the two primary factors in determining a primary topic. In terms of pageviews the 1970s UK and recent US series are fairly even, but numbers for the latter have quite clearly dropped since the series ended in 2017 so you can chalk that up to WP:RECENTISM. None of the other uses appear to be particuarly significant at first glance, and you still need to address the problem of the two 2011 series. PC78 (talk) 16:45, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- On this question, I'm still inclined to support the proposed move for the 1972 series, because we also have a problem with Love Thy Neighbour (for the 1972 UK series) and Love Thy Neighbor (which is where the disambig. page resides) – the TV series should be moved, and then the disambig. should be at either Love Thy Neighbour or Love Thy Neighbor (with the other one redirecting to the disambig. page). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 17:47, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Pretty sure that if we go with primary topic, then the primary topic of this phrase, is Golden Rule, as the origin of the phrase, and what all uses (including the TV series) refer to. --Gonnym (talk) 18:07, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

- Support all, except move 3&4 to Love Thy Neighbour (1972 UK TV series) and Love Thy Neighbour (2011 UK TV series) - per nom. After move, links should be fixed, so that the incomplete disambiguations redirect to the DAB page per WP:INCDAB. -- Netoholic @ 16:35, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- And, as per every time you've proposed this,
oppose your suggested changesas per we don't do unnecessary disambiguation on Wikipedia (i.e. your suggestion violates WP:CONCISE). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:37, 26 February 2019 (UTC)- Amend my last comment: Support move to Love Thy Neighbour (2011 UK TV series) (only) – as per User:IJBall/NCTV and double disambiguation#Love Thy Neighbor/Neighbour, that one does require "double disambiguation". But the 1972 series only needs to be at Love Thy Neighbour or Love Thy Neighbour (1972 TV series). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:55, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Note: FWIW, I'm not sure the 2011 British reality TV series is notable enough for an article – the current article certainly fails to demonstrate its notability. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 17:18, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- At the very least it could do with a trim. That's an excessive amount of detail for a mere eight episodes. PC78 (talk) 17:24, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

- And, as per every time you've proposed this,
- Support per nom - no primary topic for these TV series. However, I'm with Netoholic on this one, move 3&4 to Love Thy Neighbour (1972 UK TV series) and Love Thy Neighbour (2011 UK TV series). The point they're making is sound - if the other TV series are being disambiguated by country, those with two or more TV series per country should as well, for consistency. Paintspot Infez (talk) 19:09, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- We don't unnecessarily disambiguate on Wikipedia, and the former is an example of unnecessary disambiguation – there is only one 1972 TV series with that title, so further disambiguation is wholly unnecessary. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 23:25, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Support:
Love Thy Neighbour (TV series) → Love Thy Neighbour (Singaporean TV series)
Ambiguous with other TV series with exact same nameLove Thy Neighbour → Love Thy Neighbour (1972 TV series)
Not primary topic; needs disambiguation.Love Thy Neighbour (UK TV series) → Love Thy Neighbour (2011 UK TV series)
Current disambiguation remains ambiguous.
- Oppose:
Love Thy Neighbor (TV series) → Love Thy Neighbor (U.S. TV series)
Regional spelling variation is natural disambiguation and sufficient.

- WP:SMALLDETAILS is a very thin reed, indeed, to rely on in the last case. For this one, because it's an WP:ENGVAR thing, I don't think it's enough, and I agree with the nominator that we should disambig. them all... In addition, we still have the whole Love Thy Neighbour vs. Love Thy Neighbor issue – the disambig. page should reside at one of these, with the other being a redirect to the first.... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 23:25, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- I think the ENGVAR thing is precisely why it's enough. That is, it's obvious from the US English spelling in the title that's it's not a British show. That leaves only one possibility. --В²C ☎ 23:45, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- To who is that exactly obvious? It might be obvious to native English speakers only, but for readers from other countries, not really. Until I started editing on Wikipedia I had no idea that a word like Neighbor had different spelling and I would never have associated it with a specific country. Even now, I sometimes have no idea when looking at a certain word if it is a US or British version. --Gonnym (talk) 11:34, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
- This is the English-language Wikipedia. I'm not sure we should be disambiguating merely for the benefit of non-native speakers. PC78 (talk) 18:26, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
- Support all except Love Thy Neighbour, which is the clear primary topic. This was a defining and highly significant British TV series, far more notable than any other by that (or a similar) title. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:52, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
- Support all except Love Thy Neighbour, which for once actually passes WPprimary topic on both criteria In ictu oculi (talk) 15:32, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
- If people are going to go this route, then Love Thy Neighbor needs to be moved to Love Thy Neighbor (disambiguation) as well. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:20, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
- Then what? Leave Love Thy Neighbor as a redirect to to Love Thy Neighbor (disambiguation)? Redirect to Love Thy Neighbour? —В²C ☎ 05:27, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
- Yes – Love Thy Neighbor should then redirect to Love Thy Neighbour: I agree with Gonnym that WP:SMALLDETAILS is insufficient in this case. Keep the hatnote to the disambig. page at Love Thy Neighbour. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 13:31, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

- Disagree - the primary meaning (from which ALL related topics are named) is from the Biblical phrase. It may be an important TV show, but it was still named after something else, with much more long-term significance. -- Netoholic @ 09:10, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
- That would be true if the Biblical phrase had an article! -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:41, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
- It has - Golden Rule with the phrase appearing there. There is a high chance that a reader searching for this phrase, is actually looking for this page ([1]) which makes the view stats for this 1970s TV series appear as high as they are. --Gonnym (talk) 17:06, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

- Support per the nominator's rationale. ╠╣uw [talk] 15:05, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
- Comment: Looking at the graph here the same pattern of ups and downs happen to both articles at the same time, which leads me to think that the high view count for the TV series is based on the fact that it is using the primary topic of a much more well known bible rule. --Gonnym (talk) 17:09, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
- Support more or less as proposed. I'll trust the closer to work out any tweaks necessary to fully disambiguate the titles. Irrespective of whether the Neighbor/Neighbour distinction is sufficient to distinguish the TV shows, it is highly unlikely that any spelling of the phrase has a primary topic. bd2412 T 18:52, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
