  •   Article hits on size and newness. I did a little copyediting of the wording in the history section, including tweaks to the "cult" description which is always contentious. Sourcing is solid and thorough, however a few issues give me pause. The phrasing "told The Daily Beast he had been expecting his mother's death" is directly from the Daily Beast article and should be reworded to avoid copyright concerns. Same with the phrase "a fixed set of beliefs, instead" from the BBC article (yes, I am a CV stickler). Also, right now the article states in Wikipedia's voice that the death might have been due to colloidal silver, but out of an abundance of caution, particularly since it hasn't been officially ruled yet, I would reword that to say who exactly has suggested that.
IMO the current hooks are not that uniquely interesting - lots of people have made wackadoo claims about their ancestry or past lives. I don't know if it would be prohibited by rules against hooks based on negative info about BLPs, but to me the most interesting and hook-worthy things about this article are a) the leader being found as a Christmas-light-draped glitter mummy just recently, and b) the fact that they were driven out of Hawaii by locals after a mini-riot. If we do stick with the current suite of hooks, I think they should be tweaked to include a brief description of "Love Has Won" for context - something like "new religious movement Love Has Won" would be fine. ♠PMC(talk) 23:49, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Hemiauchenia, you've been editing the article but haven't responded here in nearly a week. Any thoughts? ♠PMC(talk) 02:01, 22 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Premeditated Chaos: Sorry about the late response. I think a hook about the Hawaii story would be good, though I haven't come up with an exact wording. Hemiauchenia (talk) 14:59, 26 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • ALT3 ... that the new religious movement Love Has Won left the island of Kauai after its leader claimed to be the Hawaiian goddess Pele?
  • ALT4 ... that in April 2021, the body of the founder of the new religious movement Love Has Won was found mummified and wrapped in Christmas lights?

I'm not sure if either hook would meet WP:BDP but ALT4 may be safer since it doesn't actually describe something that Carlson did, but rather what happened to her after her death. I actually thought ALT0 was fairly interesting, but again BDP. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:52, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm partial to either of ALT3 or ALT4; you're more experienced with the BDP requirements for DYK, so whichever you think would be policy-compliant. Would you prefer to I take it to DYK talk for a review? ♠PMC(talk) 14:58, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
I think that would be fine but personally I think ALT4 is the safer option. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 15:16, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Then let's call it for ALT4. The remainder of my concerns above have been addressed. ♠PMC(talk) 15:19, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

A possible successor organization? edit

Is www.lovehaswon.co.uk a successor organization?

They host frequently events like https://www.eventbrite.com/e/how-to-heal-sexual-trauma-how-to-appropriately-deal-with-lust-tickets-845854963967, where "Agape will teach you the very easy and quick methods of healing sexual trauma and appropriately dealing with lust once and for all. Agape is an expert at healing one's self, and uses the wisdom gained from his own self-healing journey".

And all that in 30mins! Spinozerus (talk) 13:42, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

I've done a brief look and I think they're unrelated but just happen to use the same name. The main Love Has Won splinter, 5D Full Disclosure, seems to be still active. Hemiauchenia (talk) 13:56, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
