Talk:Lourdes School of Mandaluyong

Aside from its history, I think it is appropriate to include our alma mater's vision mission, values,our patron saint,liturgical feasts that we celebrate, notable alumni, Athletics (we've won so many sports tournaments) , etc. so as too make this article about our school a little deeper. The LSQC article is a lot more better than ours. If any one of the user's have contacts to LSM, it would be great if we can ask from someone over there to write for us a better article. Help needed in uploading the logo of LSM in the wiki page

I do not understand why the file cannot be inserted into the logo portion of the info box of the page. I currently removed it because i was planning to put the 55th logo of the LSM or the renewed logo with the vision becoming like Christ underneath. if anyone here knows how to do it, please help me by replying to this article by typing "^^ and then your answer" thank you very much Mattheblackmumba (talk 20:15, 25 July 2014 (UTC)

Copyrighted text

A substantial chunk of the text, particularly in the history section, is merely lifted from the Lourdes School Mandaluyong website. This is not fair use and is in contravention of Wikipedia policy on usage of materials with copyright. I suggest revising the text. Rmcsamson 18:05, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Updating the Information

I would suggest adding similarities and differences (maybe) from LSQC. Also, add more about the new facilities (maybe) and a summarized history of the school. I would try doing something based from my handbook. That is why there is the sandbox first. Core Values of LSM somehow akin with LSQC since they both are under the OFM Capuchin Ministry. New website

LSM has now a new website: http://lsmc.edu.ph/ I know how did this happen. The webhosting of the first website has a password owned by the ex-principal of the grade school department. Now, the grade school has a new principal and the former left, the school have to have a new website, since they do not know the password anymore. I know this because I study here. Removal of the old webpage

About the new webpage

we already have a new webpage in line with the 55th ruby(?) anniversary of Lourdes. http://www.lsm.edu.ph/ all information about the school was already in there including the school's history, how to be admitted at LSM, Students, Gallery and etc.. Mattheblackmumba (talk 20:12, 25 July 2014 (UTC)

P.S. THE GALLERY SUCKS.. IS IT REALLY THAT HARD FOR SOMEONE STUDYING OR WORKING AT LSM TO TAKE SOME DECENT SHOT OF THE SCHOOLS BUILDINGS?

whats up with the malls

"near malls such as SM Megamall, Shangri-La Plaza, EDSA Central, and Starmall" what if its near the malls? we can just say.. its near major business establishments.. Parents reading this article may just be discouraged from enrolling their sons knowing the possibility that "the malls" can be a distraction to students.. To add.. this statement is like that we are saying that we are proud that we have many "malls" around us.. and some may say.. SO?! what..

its not wrong to advertise that our school is in the middle of a business district but its not to smart to say only about malls.. we can rephrase it saying like.. "having a police station,malls, hotels, business offices around it". kundi man umalis ung medical city edi me hospital pa sana..

More content

This LSM wiki used to have more content... So what happened? If you will look at LSQC's Wiki, LSM's is simply pale. Sad to say, I think this doesn't promote a sense of school spirit... Where is the pride? We have a lot of great graduates too... why not post their names here?

Assistance in updating the Entry

Pax et bonum! I had once updated the Wiki entry for Lourdes School of Mandaluyong and it had been removed and reverted back to the old one. I'm a noob so may someone assist me in updating the school's wiki page? I'm archivist of the school so a lot will be coming straight from school records and resources.
