Information search in news station edit

Hi, I think adding local new station information on the subject can help. What is your idea on this specific information finding? Is it reliable? Jordan.Espinoza.Student (talk) 04:08, 14 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jordan,
Which "new station"? One of the articles is Spanish and one of them is not working. I think google is the best place to find information about his personal, education and career.
Do you know how to get to the group sand box? I am having trouble finding it. :) SummerHum (talk) 16:36, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Jordan, thank you so much for starting the article. I changed a couple of things around and added citations. Please let me know if you have any concerns. :) SummerHum (talk) 17:44, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Everything looks good. Do you still have issues on the access? sorry for the late messages was busy with work. Jordan.Espinoza.Student (talk) 02:17, 18 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi Jordan,
No, I think I understand now better, thanks for asking. And worries for late response. :) SummerHum (talk) 03:50, 18 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please feel free to change or add information. I will also add more during the week. Hopefully, other colleagues can join us as well. :) SummerHum (talk) 03:52, 18 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi Jordan,
The last information "He attended the Engineering Gala, where the Professional Engineers of North Carolina (PENC) and the North Carolina Society of Engineering hosted a celebration for Dr. Louis Martin-Verga, who will retire in 2023" is pretty close to the origional one.
Would that be okay if we change to the followings? Dr. Louis Martin-Verga was honored at the Engineering Gala, which was hosted by the Professional Engineers of North Carolina (PENC) and the North Carolina Society of Engineering. The event was a celebration of his career and upcoming retirement in 2023. Please let me know what you think? SummerHum (talk) 22:48, 18 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Early Life Section edit

Hi everyone,

One us of shared our author's early life sections, which was nice. However, there is no citation. Is there any chance to share the citation as well? SummerHum (talk) 04:16, 20 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you in advance!! :) SummerHum (talk) 04:16, 20 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hey there, I just found the information for his early life section and added the citation. --Ksgdny (talk) 02:39, 24 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Lead section edit

Hey everyone,

I found information that Martin-Vega has stepped down from his role as Dean of the College of Engineering at the end of the 2022-23 academic school year. Due to this change, we should definitely edit the lead section of this bibliography to reflect this change in his career. I suppose we could make the lead section more of an overview of who he is? Maybe stating that he's Engineer who has served in many prestigious positions at Universities in Florida, North Carolina, and Puerto Rico? Open to suggestion! --Ksgdny (talk) 02:29, 24 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

I edited the lead section a little bit, but it can definitely be updated to be more of a synopsis of his qualifications and achievements. --Ksgdny (talk) 02:52, 24 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Perfect, thank you so much!!
I also changed the first sentence because he is still the dean of the college. He is expected to retire this year, but not clear when. Hope this makes sense. SummerHum (talk) 03:54, 24 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi again Ksgdny,
Could you please share the information that he is retired? One of the edu sources shows that he is still the dean. And yes, absolutely we can make the changes if he is retired. :) I apologize for not seeing the first part of your comment. SummerHum (talk) 06:00, 24 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
https://www.engr.ncsu.edu/news/2022/08/23/a-message-from-dean-louis-martin-vega/ this is the letter that was written by him saying he is no longer dean --Ksgdny (talk) 06:02, 24 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
He stated that he is no longer dean after the 2022-23 school year, which means he would no longer be dean at this time. --Ksgdny (talk) 06:04, 24 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Perfect, thank you so much catching this! SummerHum (talk) 06:53, 24 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi classmates,

Career Section edit

Hi everyone,

In the Career section, someone added "Vega's main focus surrounded the works of industrial engineering, logistics, operational management and production of several service systems. He has made several contributions towards the semiconductor industries and continues to have a great influence on the engineering community."

However, this information does not have any citations. Is there any chance you can add the citation? We cannot leave the information without knowing where it comes from.

Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone again,
I have not heard anything from anyone, so I tried to find the source. The following source talks about his interests. If you see this message, please let us know if the source is correct. Otherwise, we cannot leave that information without a citation. Thank you!!

Hi Aleasoria, @Aleasoria: thank you so much for adding additional information to the page. However, those two additions do not have citations. Could you please add citations if possible? Thank you! SummerHum (talk) 04:51, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
