I have clipped all the newspapers.com citations (if you don't have access, consider applying) and also consolidated a "25 years ago" mention with the actual article referenced. The recommendation to do so, in exactly the same situation you were in, was the single best thing that happened to my Wikipedia career—I have the second-most clippings on the project, and I've had 377 DYKs and 32 GAs to date since then, most using at least one clipping. Homing in on a signal edit
"Honing in" on a signal is a verbal corruption of the original idiom which refers to techniques such as active radar homing, which in turn refers to homing (biology). Elizium23 (talk) 11:54, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
