Article needs a lot of work
editAlthough it is not a formal geographic area (e.g. a state or municipio), I would nonetheless say that Los Tuxtlas would be a suitable subject for an article. However, as presently written, this article is too chatty, too NPOV, too all-over-the-place for an encyclopedia, and is nearly completely copied off the editors' website pages mostly this one. Here here! This article sucks, especially the first sentence. Way low quality, folks. I'm not knowledgable enough about the area to fix it up, but it doesn't work for wp. --166.70.29.194 21:17, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Eight Years Later
editEight years later, the article still needs a lot of work and has 0 references. The drawing that it has, while pretty, is not functional, in that it does not provide a visual representation of where Los Tuxtlas is. In fact, while again, it was very attractively done, it essentially serves no purpose within the context of the nation that it is a part of. Of course, this is also a broader problem that Wikipedia has in general, and one of the reasons why it will probably never be an actual, accepted encyclopedia, other than for elementary school students... But, in this particular case, it needs a real map that illustrates Los Tuxtlas context within the nation of Mexico, and possibly even Central America. It would help legitimize the article substantially. Stevenmitchell (talk) 03:13, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
