Talk:Los Alamos Ranch School

Latest comment: 6 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

"It was private residential boys school that featured the outdoors and horses (famous alumni included William Burroughs and potentially Gore Vidal)". What does "potentially Gore Vidal" mean? Seems nonsense, nothing about it at Gore Vidal article; will excise. --GangofOne 05:55, 30 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • According to LANL, Gore Vidal attended the school for a short time. --Fastfission 15:49, 30 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Conflicting information edit

The article is in serious need of inline references, since the two "external links" have conflicting information. Notably, http://www.losalamoshistory.org/school.htm says the school was "started" in 1917, but http://www.lanl.gov/history/road/school-closes.shtml gives the opening date as 1920: Between 1920 and 1942, about 40 students between the ages of 12 and 16 attended the school annually, paying a tuition averaging $2,400, about $23,000 in today's dollars. --Orlady (talk) 20:30, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
