They are not the same person, however. If you read the biography of the latter, it is mentioned that he was an advocate for the emancipation of Poland, whereas there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that Lorenz Christoph Mizler was at all political. First, the name of the merged article needs to be determined: Lorenz Christoph Mizler or Wawrzyniec Mitzler de Kolof. I suggest the former. Then any content from the latter article needs to be incorporated into the former. There will be problems with nationality-related categories: German? Polish? German-Polish? It may be most appropriate not to assign any nationality. Indeed: The former name Lorenz Christoph Mizler is his real name. In his letters he called himself Lorenz Christoph Mizler. But in polish language this spelling does not sound as the german sound of this name, but if polish people read Mitzler, it sounds like the german word Mizler. But my problem is, that I dont know your English language very good to understand the complex procedure how to merge. I need help.Felbick (talk) 22:07, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Felbick.
1) First, I think we need a place to do this merge, as it will be rather complex due to your lack of English, and my decided lack of German ;-) I think the best way for us to proceed would be for you to create a page in your user-space where we can translate and edit all in one. Probably my biggest concern will be that, as I understand it, you have the references—probably in German—that we will use to do this. I will need to wholly rely on you for translation of those citations into reasonable enough English where I can copyedit them into proper usage. (I'm pretty good at extrapolating meaning, so don't get too hung up about all that).
3) Once that is done, I'll show you how to transfer that into the article—replacing the content of the article that we choose to keep. (The other, un- used article will become a redirect [I'll do all that].)
4) I also assume that your non-OR references will clarify that the two entries are indeed about the same person.

You're welcome. I moved the new article into place. Please look it over, as there is a need for translation into English for a couple of the names of some of his works, music and societies.
