Well shall we talk here? I suggest we just get going. It might involve some duplication so maybe load no more than a paragraph before doing a bit more? That way we should minimise edit conflicts. Also please feel free to mess about with stuff I prepare. I'm hoping we can do this quickly. Agree? Another view? Oh and do you speak Armenian? Victuallers (talk) 13:56, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sounds good to me. I'm fluent in Armenian, i'll add the name in the Armenian script as well.-- Ευπάτωρ Talk!! 13:59, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
The Armenian name: Լորդ Բայրոնի անվան թիվ 20 միջնակարգ դպրոց stands for Secondary school number 20 named after Lord Byron. Should "Secondary school" be added to the beginning of the lead?-- Ευπάτωρ Talk!! 14:36, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Web site edit

I just found this site: [1]. But I don't believe it's official.-- Ευπάτωρ Talk!! 14:39, 30 September 2008 (UTC) Apparently the school was founded in 1950, destroyed by the earthquake and then reconstructed by the British.-- Ευπάτωρ Talk!! 14:42, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hope you don't mind I'm also adding bits where I find them to the front page. Hopefully these bits will make a jig saw. Yes I believe its a secondary school but no idea what age they start and finish. As there are only two other schools from Armenia in English then it would be good to explain a bit about their system. Do you know anything about when they leave etc ? Victuallers (talk) 15:51, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Up until a couple of years ago the old Soviet school system was still in use in Armenia where all grades (1-10) were within the same school. Armenia became a signatory of the Bologna declaration/Bologna process during the Bergen Ministerial Conference in May 2005 so there are 12 grades now divided by three cycles instead of 10 in 1. So if this is a high school, grades would be 10 to 12, ages 15 to 18 I guess. Detailed info: [2]-- Ευπάτωρ Talk!! 17:31, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

hook edit

Not finished but I have added the page to the dyk hook. Any chance of some stubs in Armenian? The web site you found was ideal. Not sure I understand the age thing though. Victuallers (talk) 21:13, 30 September 2008 (UTC) O and thx to "Razmik Ayvazyan", I mention it here so he can find it. Well done Victuallers (talk) 14:05, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
