Ben Bradlee quote
editI don't understand what we are supposed to conclude from the Ben Bradlee quote: "Jackie read off the list of what was available, and the President selected the one [film] we had all unanimously voted against, a brutal, sadistic little Western called Lonely Are the Brave."
Are we to conclude that they all thought the movie was brutal and sadistic prior to seeing it and were then won over, or did they come away revolted by the film after seeing it? Can we get some clarity on this?

- I don't have the source, but I presume that what happened was as described. That is, nobody thought the film was any good but Kennedy selected it. It indicates in an offhand way that the film had a reputation for being "brutal and sadistic." However, I agree that it is not optimal and doesn't really add very much to the article at all. OK, thanks. I'd like to think that they reconsidered once they saw the film in its entirety.
