This section says:-

    In 1931, on his third try, Mr. Guinness was elected to Parliament for Bath . . . He held his seat until 1945, when the Conservatives were turned out of office by the Labour Party.

That's true, but rather misleading. He didn't stand in 1945, or at least, not in Bath, which another Conservative retained!

I have condensed the sentence to "He held his seat until 1945, when he stood down." The loss of office by the Conservatives, while historical fact, at the 1945 election, did not really affect him as his decision to stand down would have been made well before polling day. I am prepared to be corrected if it was the case he stood for another constituency but got defeated.Cloptonson (talk) 16:46, 18 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
