LoCI Controls, Inc. is an environmental services data and technology company. LoCI Controls develops software and devices that utilize a wireless sensor network to optimize the extraction of methane from landfills.

Background[edit source] The company was founded by two MIT graduate students, Andrew Campanella and Melinda Sims (née Hale) in 2013. Loci Controls received a grant from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center in the amount of $40,000 USD in January 2014 as a partial section of its Catalyst Program. The program invests in new researchers and companies.

Technology & Impact[edit source] LoCI's system is designed to increase methane gas extraction from landfills and has shown to increase gas capture by 10-20% across projects. The software and hardware provide an advancement over the existing practice, which requires on-site monitoring and manual adjustments to extract the methane.

External Write-Ups "The LoCI system offers tailored alerts, a custom algorithm that predicts needed adjustments to the gas collection system, and automatic controls to monitor gas production." "The reduction in methane results in less pollution, toxins and odors." "With the LoCI Controls solution, revenue from landfill gas-to-energy plants is increased, risk of noncompliance is mitigated, and odor complaints can be instantly addressed." I have suggested edits only to existing content and per earlier comments from moderators, I suggest breaking out the quotes at the end from cited articles into a new section to make it clear that they are external articles written about LoCI, not an integrated part of the content. I also see that I missed one section where I mistakenly left "Loci." The formal company name is "LoCI Controls," with only a lowercase "o" in the first word. GSLoCI (talk) 17:45, 3 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I see the article was nominated for deletion in May 2015. What prompted it being kept? Thank you. GSLoCI (talk) 17:50, 3 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Viewmont_Viking, can you or another editor please see my proposed edits above? As well as the question about deletion. The existing Wikipedia article is very inaccurate and has incorrect information, so if the updates I've proposed are not allowed, what is the best next step? Thank you.
