Track gauge edit

What was the track gauge of the streetcar lines? Was it 5 ft 4+12 in (1,638 mm) Baltimore streetcar gauge like the Baltimore Streetcar Museum? Peter Horn User talk 01:59, 8 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

The answer is in History of MTA Maryland Peter Horn User talk 02:52, 8 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Working on general notability edit

This can serve as a reference point/reminder as to what directions to head in for fleshing out and updating this article in regards to the notability flag that was added. I will start just by adding the presumed criteria, and will then elaborate with more notes on how to address these to the extent I am able to find time for it.

  • Significant coverage from reliable sources independent of the subject - Potential sources to incorporate for coverage include newspaper articles, focus pieces in bus-related publications (Motor Coach Age in particular has quite in depth Baltimore coverage), articles written by operators/planners/etc concerning the logistics of the route (speaking as individuals rather than on behalf of the MTA), articles by current transportation reporting publications and organizations
  • Reliable - The types of sources mentioned are secondary and would have received review in their publication process
  • Sources are secondary and from different authors + publications - again that seems applicable to what is available to work from
  • Independent of the subject - same applies
  • Presumption that the availability of these sources confirms notability may not always be true if article is outside of Wikipedia scope - this is referring to things like song lyrics and nothing else or just summaries/statements of facts, etc. Avoidable as the history, function, and purpose of the route essentially require explanations and not just summaries. --Middle river exports (talk) 02:38, 7 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Notes on threads to look into 1988, Sun: MTA bus route changes; relationship with rail crossing brought up 1966, Sun: Private Renewal; increase in density + apartment development on Garrison Blvd as a result of bus service --Middle river exports (talk) 03:14, 7 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
