Talk:Lloyds Banking Group/Archives/2013

Palestinian charity

The section about "cutting off aid to Gaza" is both overly sensational (the headline implies all aid was cut off rather than a singly charity which the subtext explains further) and highly NPOV - the article in The Guardian states that the charity in question has been accused by a number of parties including the BBC of supporting terrorist activities. Although it was cleared by investigation, it WAS found to have received funds from a proven terrorist-funding organisation. Under the circumstances I feel the article doesn't reflect all the facts that would be considered relevant by a reader, and will change it to do so.94.8.28.41 (talk) 00:15, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Further to this, I notice that the accusation of tax avoidance mentioned in the article has actually ended up in Lloyds being cleared of charges, so I will remove this as a "controversy".94.8.28.41 (talk) 00:23, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

A previous editor has also misleadingly referred to Gaza as "occupied". It seems this person is more interested in ventilating their own world-view rather than writing an informative article about Lloyds. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WinstonBerni (talkcontribs) 09:16, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
