Dancer

edit

"dancer" seems to redirect (incorrectly) to "figure skater" - two different people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.217.11.84 (talk) 05:04, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Good catch. The Rdr was speedy-del'd:
00:01, 23 August 2008 EdJohnston (talk | contribs | block) deleted "Liu Yan (dancer)" ‎ (R3: Recent redirect from implausible typo, link, or misnomer: Liu Yan (dancer) is not the same person as Liu Yan (figure skater). Redirect would be incorrect)
The title should be used for the article on the dancer if & when one is written. The following grossly over-written entry should be used only for research, or for writing the bio article:
A top classical dancer in China, she was paralyzed from the waist down in an accident during rehearsal for the Beijing Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony[1][2].
The Dab entry should look more like
* Liu Yan (dancer) (fl. 2000s), Chinese

Life scientist

edit

Removed from Dab page:

* Liu Yan (scientist), 刘严 American life scientist in drug discovery research, best known for his work with osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases.

Not even a mention in the linked articles; the Dab entry should look more like

* Liu Yan (scientist), American biologist

when this bio is written.
