Personal life edit

Does anyone have any evidence to suggest that Amy dated Shane in the summer of 2006? I read the article and I didn't see when they started dating being mentioned. It might be a trivial thing but if there's no proof, then it should be taken out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dangarden (talkcontribs)

That information is cited, so it should not be taken out. If you clock on the article it is cited to, there is an interview where they talk about their relationship quite heavily. Also, new posts go at the bottom of talk pages, and add ~~~~ at the end of your posts to sign it. Thanks. Nikki311 16:30, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I really think it should go. I've read the interview, it said they formed the Luchagors in summer 06 but doesn't mention when they started the relationship. I know it's only a small thing but it should really be as accurate as possible and without confirmation, it shouldn't be there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dangarden (talkcontribs) 16:40, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I second the user who pointed to the problem of accuracy of the timing regarding Amy's relationship with Shane Morton. The sentence is tailed with superscript indices referencing 2 articles, both of them making rather sporadic mentions of CM Punk and Amy but not Shane Morton. Considering the latter there's virtually no information, at least, easily obtainable and verifiable, about him at all, let alone about his relationship with Amy, aside of the Wikiarticle about the band making a mention of him in a casual fashion. So, either provide credible, legit sources, or remove this statement from the article. Thank you. 78.62.13.245 (talk) 03:13, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop saying that CM Punk & Lita are dating without confirmation from them. The photos only prove a friendship. Matt Hardy's drunken say-so is not confirmation. They may be dating, but don't just write that without proof. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.196.145.78 (talk) 00:51, 26 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Rock band edit

In the introduction, I read this : "After her retirement from wrestling in 2006, she became the lead singer of punk rock band The Luchagors. The band released their self-titled CD, The Luchagors on September 11, 2007." But she was the lead singer of that band way before retiring from wrestling. Someone can fix that if I'm right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.140.145.185 (talk) 12:56, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pre-GA Review comments edit

I looked through the article, and it's looking great. A few things that I wanted to mention, though, are:

  • In the 2002-2003 section, Lloyd Youngblood is referred to as "the official leading surgeon". I'm a little confused. Is he WWE's official leading surgeon, Dark Angel's leading surgeon, or is this referring to something else altogether? The article doesn't make this clear.
    •   Done Someone else added that, and I don't know the answer to your question...I removed it. Nikki311 20:36, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Later in that paragraph, the phrasing is a little awkward. "...making appearances on Sunday Night HEAT as a color commentator from October 2002." Does "from" mean "beginning in"?
    •   Done-clarified.
  • The mention of Lita breaking Stratus' nose could benefit from the addition of "kayfabe" or "legit".
  • A couple of items in the Personal Life section seem like they could be combined into larger paragraphs. Could the breast augmentation be moved to right after (or before) the tattoos?
  • Is there a reference available for the Headbangers Ball appearance?
    •   Done-added 2:one may or may not count as WP:RS, the other does

These issues are fairly minor, but the article as a whole is really well done. Good job. GaryColemanFan 16:24, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I fixed two, ticked em offxC | 17:14, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Comment - Youngblood isn't official, I think. He's just the best at what he does, and happens to be the guy all the wrestlers go to when they're messed up.
Shifting of paragraphs - support. If another editor supports, I'll go ahead and shift em.xC | 17:26, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Litacanrana only used on male wrestlers? edit

Ref this edit. Xxbulldogxx pointed out to me that lita only does this move in the diving version to the male wrestlers, as its too dangerous to perform on the female. i agree it does seem logical, but im not convinced that she only performed it on males. probably, sometime in her career, soom female got whacked by it too? also, a move is characterised by what the wrestler does. the move is not affected by who it is done to. so its name shouldnt be affected either, nor should we differentiate it by gender. those were my thoughts on it. would appreciate all editors opinions on this, thanksxC | 00:33, 10 November 2007 (UTC) Lita has never performed a top rope hurricarana on another diva. She always uses the headscissors take down version in the ring against the women. I've been watching wrestling even before Lita came in and have seen every one of her matches, I've never seen her perform it on a woman. Also, there are no reliable houseshow reports that would suggest that she's performed it on any woman at houseshow events either. Given her weight and height, the only person able to support her would be Chyna which she's definitely never performed it on. While I think Molly, Jazz and Jacqueline are strong enough to take the move from her, Lita is a good three-four inches taller than them. The opponent needs both strength and a height advantage to perform the move safely which is why Lita has never performed it before and she's never attempted it against a woman either. -TK —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.247.18.169 (talk) 06:00, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

WWE Return edit

Should this article mention that she will make an appearance on RAW's 15th anniversary? Lee 00:34, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Articles shouldn't mention future events, so maybe it can be added after (if) it happens. Then, I think it should only be mentioned if she does something worth noting. If she's on-screen for 2 seconds and doesn't say anything...it's probably best left out. Nikki311 00:59, 7 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lita came out to the ring on Raw's 15th anniversary show. She threw Jillian Hall out of the ring with Trish Stratus' help. Stratus and Lita then hugged each other, making an apparent face turn. Also, Lita celebrated at the end of the anniversary show with everyone present.96.230.235.163 (talk) 15:06, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tattoos edit

During Amy's return to RAW it could be clearly seen that she had two new tattoos both on her left arm one was of a number of black and red skulls and the other apeared to be something of a similar nature wrapping around her arm closer to her elbow. I know that my descriptions are obviously not encyclopedic material but surely more research to the nature of the tattoos should be done and the tattoo section updated. The following is a hyperlink to a picture which clearly shows both tattoos. http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/rawphotos/6032350/. Thanks Lauren771 (talk) 07:17, 13 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Height edit

Not that it would make much difference, but on Amy's Myspace she has her height listed as 5'7, not 5'6. Would this need to be changed at all, or I am just looking at too many details?

The height listed is her "billed height", not her "real height", so that may be where the difference is. Nikki311 19:29, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Match with Spike edit

On April 8, 2001 on Sunday Night Heat, Lita defeated Spike Dudley. Since Intergender wins are considered big, shouldn't it be mentioned? [1]

If it was part of a storyline, maybe, but it would need a more reliable source than that. Nikki311 20:16, 16 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rumored Appearance on WWE RAW edit

The cited "source" for a rumored appearance on the October 31st, 2011 episode of RAW, is actually in regard to an appearance she made on the program last year. It was written in November 2010, and even states that her appearance then was only a "one-time" thing. It states nowhere in the entire article that she would be returning to wrestling on October 31st, 2011.

The mention on her Wikipedia page has caused a lot of confusion, as well as many fans to think that Amy is returning to the ring. She has no intention of returning at this time, and seeing as I run the street team for her band, I am in regular contact with her. Not to mention, the webmistress of her official site, TheAmyDumas.com, has also shot down this rumor - which originated right here on Wikipedia.

Please remove the above specified information as soon as possible. Thank you.

Amy DumasLita (wrestler) – I'm proposing a move of this article to "Lita (wrestler)" via WP:COMMONNAME and "Recognizability" from this. Why isn't this article named that already when you have article names such as these:

Is there any, any possible reason why we're not doing the same for Lita? I mean she was JUST as popular with her name as they were... Srsrox (talk) 14:21, 9 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
EDIT: I find it REALLY funny even the first sentence agrees with what I'm saying in this article: "Amy Christine Dumas (born April 14, 1975), best known by her stage name Lita..." --Relisted Tyrol5 [Talk] 02:43, 18 January 2013 (UTC) Srsrox (talk) 00:14, 10 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yup, I agree with you except the Chyna part. Actually, with research, you'll find that that IS her real name NOW... since she changed it. Srsrox (talk) 00:06, 10 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hall of fame 2012 edit

Lita was there got Edge's induction ceremony as they had a 2+ year storyline together. She was not there as CM Punks date. She was not present at any other hall of fame ceremony after her retirement. Lita was seated there after arriving late.

Also, there is a video of a brunette, maybe AJ, as she was involved in a world title match at wrestlemania the next day, originally seated next to Punk. She got up when Lita arrived as Lita needed to be in the front row for Edge's induction. The video is a bit blurry, probably shot by a fan on the upper deck. But you can clearly make out that much.

WWE may have taken it down from YouTube again. I found it a couple of times. Randy Orton was seated on the other side of her during the ceremony. He talked about Edge's induction in an interview. I'll try to find it. He mentions Lita arriving late in passing and not RSVPing. He does not mention if it was AJ originally seated there though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.196.145.78 (talk) 06:30, 25 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Actually, there's a video, posted on YouTube on April 3 of 2012 which was a SD version of an officially televised Hall Of Fame 2012, and there Lita, sitting next to CM Punk, can be seen during the official part when the camera passes along the first row. To watch, click the upper-right arrow Hall of Fame 2012. I see that your comment was made in March of 2013, so as of May 2020 we know that she not only inducted Trish that year, but also was inducted herself in 2014 and was present at the ceremony of induction of Beth Phoenix in 2017. So, she made at least, 3 appearances at HOF ceremonies in total. 78.62.13.245 (talk) 03:39, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Induction by Stratus edit

In the sentence stating this, it refers to Stratus as Lita's "fellow wrestler, friend and gossip." Why is she being called a gossip? Wouldn't it be more pertinent to simply refer to her as a "fellow wrestler and friend"? Spartan198 (talk) 05:18, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Correct. There's no need or basis within the source provided for that to be there. It can just be deleted out, which I've done. No need for discussion on something like that.NJZombie (talk) 19:07, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
