This paper : The global biomass of wild mammals | PNAS includes population estimates for around 4,000 species, I'll start chipping away at it, starting with the most populated species, but it will go faster with help Animalnumbers (talk) 22:21, 11 May 2023 (UTC) This comment has been deleted by the author on 30 May 2023 without explanation. @Animalnumbers and DoubleGrazing: The drafts linked from Animalnumbers's talk page (Draft:List of rodent species by population and others) look useful. I'm sorry to see that they have apparently been abandoned after their rejection in late May. I'm not sure why they were rejected, to be honest, as the PNAS publication is clearly a reliable source, and the GitLab data repository is part of it (linked to from PNAS).
