Labelled map edit

A labelled map would be really, really helpful.

Awrajja of EthiopiaZones of Ethiopia — - Move back to its original name. To the best of my knowledge, "Awrajja" is a term only used for a class of pre-1991 administrative units, and is not the Amharic or Tigrigna term translated as "Zone." I left a request explaining why was this was moved from "Zone" to "Awrajja" on the Talk page of the person who moved this page to its current name over a week ago. Although he has editted since then -- & presumably has seen my question -- I have not received a response. Maybe starting a discussion here can elicit one. -- llywrch (talk) 18:19, 22 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I believe you are correct, Awrajja translates more properly into district rather than zone. --Simfan34 (talk) 20:02, 22 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

awrajja? 68 zones? edit

In the 2007 census, Ethiopia's Central Statistical Agency lists some zones not mentioned in previous documents. See also the DPPA administrative maps which differ from the UN OCHA maps on the names and number of zones.

Furthermore, in its 2005 National Statistics, the CSA gives ዞን (zonə) as the amharic word for "zone", not awrajja. Béka (talk) 21:55, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
