xxxHolic Rou OAV, if you bothered looking at the reference attached to that part. ggctuk (2005) (talk) 14:38, 7 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm getting very tired of people stating the the girl in the recent xxxHolic OAD is neither Yuuko or Yuuko's reincarnation. This has neither been confirmed nor denied and should not be stated as fact. I'm not even sure she is or not, but I cannot find anything disproving it, so if that is to remain on the page, I would like to see it backed up with evidence, or with a reference. Upon deeper research into the xxxHolic fandom, this argument that the girl is not Yuuko seems popular with the fans that do not wish to see her return, and is therefore, a biased interpritation being passed off as fact.

Kohane Tsuyuri

edit

When did Kohane Tsuyuri first appear ? In which chapter?

Strange...

Didn't Yūko Ichihara and the other characters each have their own biographic pages???

Or is my mind simply playing tricks on me again...? 68.160.148.170 (talk) 03:54, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

The individual characters didn't meet the Wikipedia:Notability criteria for individual articles based on the lack of independent real-world third-party coverage; so all characters are listed on a single character list per the Wikiproject Anime and Manga Manual of Style. --Kraftlos (talk) 18:07, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
The individual articles are still linked from here and the navbox, though, and need either cleaned up or merged and redirected here. —Dinoguy1000 18:37, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Then take another individual character, Layla Hamilton, for example, which is lack of independent real-world third-party coverage too. I understand your rationale but it simply makes fan-driven initiatives meaningless for the sake of "lack of coverage". Once we start clearing here and there, we are going to annihilate the in-depth analysis put out by the fans in good faith. It also ceases to be a legit venue for people who has just discovered the character and wanted to understand more about the background. (Howardchu (talk) 19:29, 1 September 2008 (UTC))Reply
Wikipedia is not a fan site; I realize that many fans use these pages for character information; however, the threshold for inclusion on wikipedia is notability and verifiability. Thus in-depth character analysis cannot be fan-generated; it must be published by reliable sources, otherwise that would be original research, therefore unverifiable. Keep in mind, this is an encyclopedia, not everything is appropriate to be published on Wikipedia. --Kraftlos (talk) 01:54, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Kraftlos, thanks for your reply and quote me about the essence, spirit of Wikipedia, specifically "it is not a fan site" in the name of "original research". So please keep on your under-appreciated efforts on cleaning up other anime / manga characters' "unverifiable", "unreliable" materials like Layla Hamilton, for example. I will just take your advice by not coming to Wikipedia anymore for contributing in anime / manga characters because a) I do not have the blessings of author / publisher with their "original research" b) I do not meet the high-standard of Wikipedia c) they are no longer considered "notable" materials according to your rationale. (Howardchu (talk) 05:04, 3 September 2008 (UTC))Reply
Yes, but I've noticed that Himiwari still has her own article...Yuuko should still have hers; she also plays a major part in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles. Just my two cents...UPDATE: I bring in Fai D. Flourite (my spelling of his name...) He has only appeared in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles, but he has a huge and expansive article, with no tags, that hasn't been challenged. RE-UPDATE: I also bring up Tomoyo Daidōji. She is a crossover character from Cardcaptor Sakura, who has her own article, including a reference to her appearances in Tsubasa. Thank you. 70.162.133.122 (talk) 09:25, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
So if Watanuki, Doumeki, and Himawari have their own pages, then why doesn't Yuuko have one at this point? Short of not meeting the criteria, that is. I mean, given the amount of info those three teens have (especially Watanuki), one would think that Yuuko should've met the standards by this point.--67.49.42.80 (talk) 03:56, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Odd question on that why hasn't Yuko gotten her own page yet, given that she's one of the major players in both Holic and Tsubasa like Watanuki and "Syaoran". --67.49.42.80 (talk) 09:36, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tanpopo

edit

There is nothing to indicate that Himawari's bird is important enough of a separate entity in the work to represent its own section.じんない 21:23, 12 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yuuko needs her own page

edit

As the title, Yuuko is too major a character for one or two small paragraphs to do as her bio. THAT WAS WHY I undid that edit, and I will do it again soon (copying source to Notepad and editing before returning it to Wikipedia). Ggctuk (talk) 20:11, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

There needs to be more than just in-universe information about her. That can include development, but needs more than just plot info.じんない 20:47, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Keep in mind that you are also free to expand her entry on this page; so long as all the information (except her plot-based character description, which should be kept to a minimum of length) is properly sourced, non-trivial, and out of universe, you can split her out when she shows sufficient independent notability and there is enough info for a decent article. ダイノガイ?!」(Dinoguy1000) 22:35, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Also remember that character articles should only be created when the notability of the character can be established independently of the notability of the series. --Farix (Talk) 01:26, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hence why I said "sufficient independant notability". ;) ダイノガイ?!」(Dinoguy1000) 18:04, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Need confirmation on Pipe Fox

edit

The article states the Japanese name for the pipe fox is "kudagitsune" while it is popularly known as "kudakitsune". Why is it written as "-gitsune" when it is referred to in the anime as "-kitsune"? 96.238.52.167 (talk) 07:01, 18 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
