Removal of sources edit

Would IP user(s) who keep removing sourced content please explain it here before reverting again? --Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 00:27, 23 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

The sources make it pretty clear this was not just a training mission. There were two simultaneous missions in the CAR; Operation Vimbezela (dating back to 2007), which was a training mission, and Operation Morero, which was intended to protect Bozizé and involved special forces. Of course it's convenient to claim it was only a training mission after the tragedy, but it is pretty clear that the SANDF was deployed to prop up one side in a civil war. --Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 13:28, 29 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Would the people who insist that Operation Morero was not at all connected with the survival of the Bozizé government please lay out their views here, rather than edit warring? --Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 13:35, 12 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Battle of Bangui edit

Although certain users have avoided the discussion page for weeks, I do believe they have a valid point. For example, here's an article by Helmoed claiming the Séléka asked for a ceasefire after suffering high casualties, which would change the perspective entirely. An expert's opinion weighs much heavier than simply removing sources. I'm appealing to those users to do their homework, and I'd be more than willing to help out - as previously stated, I am merely interested in the topic and hold no strong opinion (not that my opinion would matter anyway). --Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 23:22, 27 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

1st and 2nd boer wars.. edit

The 1st and 2nd south african boer wars are not included in this list. They should be, as they are an important part of what resulted in the country's predecessor 'union state' and shaped today's afrikaans and english communities EmersonSC (talk) 12:03, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
