Strange definition of War

I find it at least hard to understand why uprisings of civilians or the attempt a putsch is counted as war. This seems to me a wipe out fo any definition.--WerWil (talk) 14:38, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

Mass-revertion

I have reverted a bunch of edits made since June. As the edit summary is too short to include every reason, here they are:

• The Second Schleswig War and the Austro-Prussian war happened before the German unification and should not be included here (feel free to create List of wars involving Prussia).
• World War I includes a footnote to Germany's involvement in the Russian Civil War, and the latter phase of the eastern front was fought between Germany and the Russian SFSR. Separating the two makes little sense.
  • We don't have to include every outcome in the summary.
• The Kiel Mutiny was not a war.
• The German Revolution was not a "victory/defeat"; this formulation makes no sense.
• The "Bavarian Revelutoin" was part of the German Revolution.
• The Kapp Putsch and the Beer Putsch were not wars and do not belong here.
• The Uprising of 1953 in East Germany was not a war.
• East Germany did not participate in the invasion of Czechoslovakia.

Abushiri revolt

Britain is listed as a combatant. I was not aware of that. Can someone explain their involvement. Firestar47 (talk) 15:52, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

List cleanup

Two issues:

• The list has a clear criteria in both the title and lede: this is a "list of wars involving Germany". Article has a good deal of list spam that clearly does not meet the article criteria.
• There are a number of entries that do not have sources or articles supporting their inclusion.
