Indiana? edit

Didn't some additional counties in Indiana move to Central Time in the wake of the state's decision to use DST statewide? --Jfruh 19:53, 7 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

List... "by time zone" edit

Wouldn't the article's title lend itself to listing the states by time zone? Currently, it's just a list of states with their time zones. This should be the other way--a list of the time zones with the their states—or simply the current list in addition to the new list. Ideas? I'll attempt to compile it if there's agreement. Or the article could possibly be retitled to something like "List of U.S. time zones by state" (not serious about that, would sort of be pointless). //MrD9 06:49, 24 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Agree sorting should be by time zone —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.243.55.122 (talkcontribs) 8 November 2006

Disagree. Even though the title may imply that, it would make it impossible for someone to determine the time zone of their state quickly. Such a list in time zone order is the main List of time zones. — Joe Kress 07:58, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Agree. The title indicates and, indeed, I came to this page looking for a list of states by time zone. This is a list of states with time zones. Impossible, Joe? Don't all web browsers have a "find" function? Perhaps a seperate page for states with time zones, but this page should be grouped by time zone. --65.240.152.5 15:56, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Agree and Disagree. The best would be to provide information in both ways. Having two different sections seems overkill, but I believe I can build a sortable wiki table that presents the information in both ways. I may just do that without waiting for any further discussion, which may take months or years if it keeps up at the present rate. YBG (talk) 14:06, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes/No or DST/No edit

I don't want to make a big deal of it, but I preferred it when the DST column said "DST" and "No" instead of "Yes" and "No". In long tables like these, you can't always see the table header and so it is really helpful to someone looking at the middle of the table to be able to understand the meaning of each column from its immediate context. Kansas colors edit

In the map of Kansas, it is difficult to see the four MST counties, because their purple color is very similar to the red color of the rest of Kansas. The US map (at top of page) has CST in yellow. Would someone be able to change the Kansas red to yellow? Eagle4000 (talk) 02:05, 4 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Good point. I think all of the county maps should follow the same color scheme as the map in the lede. YBG (talk) 02:10, 4 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Add map for Michigan. edit

The Time in Michigan page has a map for Michigan. It should be included here too.
