The result of the move request was: Moved to List of sovereign state leaders in the Philippines. (non-admin closure) Rules of enpagement Paine 04:27, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
List of rulers of the Philippines → List of sovereign state leaders in the Philippines – The current name is not neutral and inaccurate since the islands only got unified in 1565. The current title implies there was unity before that. The are also precision problems because people might confuse the name with a ruler. Shhhhwwww!! (talk) 07:00, 14 July 2016 (UTC) --Relisting. Omni Flames (talk) 08:16, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
Merge with List of recorded Datus in the Philippines without leaving a redirect. Inacurrate title and duplication of the datu list. Basically the same reason in the AfD nomination.--RioHondo (talk) 07:56, 14 July 2016 (UTC)- Support for now. But we still have to consolidate this article with List of recorded datu in the Philippines to remove overlap.--RioHondo (talk) 04:48, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Philipandrew2: A move happened as this RM was ongoing. — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 07:43, 4 August 2016 (UTC)
- Move to List of sovereign state leaders of the Philippines or List of sovereign state leaders in the Philippines, depending on intended scope (preferably the former), and perform any actually necessary datu-related consolidation (though note the treatment of presidents and prime ministers; it is not necessary to merge, only to point to list datu list, if it even remains relevant). My suggestion would be to cut this lift off 1565, and not include entries before that, nor any datu from a period of intervening non-unification. Use links to point to different lists with different scopes, as needed. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 11:22, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
- @SMcCandlish, you mean like this list Heads of state and government of the Philippines? I think this article's main purpose is to list all the leaders/monarchs/datu of individual pre-colonial states in the Philippine archipelago (prior to 1565), which basically mirrors that of the List of recorded datu in the Philippines.--RioHondo (talk) 13:16, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
- The scope seems confused to me. It's not limited to pre-colonial, and has sections for the modern leadership. If it is limited to pre-colonial, it will mostly be redundant with the datu list, but has some info going back to ancient times as well, but there was no "the Philippines" back then. It seems, overall, to be an attempt to create a list of vaguely defined "rules" of any territory that ever was part of what is now the Philippines, but exclusive of rules based outside that territory (i.e. when including part of what is now the Philippines in a larger kingdom with a capital elsewhere). I don't think that's actually an encyclopedic topic. Some kind of split and merge operation is probably needed. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 01:54, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
- List was created by a banned sock thats why. How about we just link this article to both Heads of state and government of the Philippines and List of recorded datu in the Philippines? And rename the datu list article to List of sovereign state leaders in the Philippines? --RioHondo (talk) 03:28, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

- This article had covers the pre-colonial epoch up to the republican era which is actually on the Philippine history, created by a user which is already banned to edit. While List of recorded datu in the Philippines before was lack of complete list that time , The pre colonial rulers had Only added while the issue of deletion has been discussed, so it really caused confusion. But the name had already changed to follow the neutral title. Orphaned references in List of sovereign state leaders in the Philippines
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of sovereign state leaders in the Philippines's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
