This article was hit with a Prod tag shortly after its creation, citing it as an "Indiscriminate information, will never be complete or notable" The following is a list of the issues cited and the reasons that they do not apply, justifying removal of the prod tag:

Indiscriminate - The article meets all criteria of WP:NOT#Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. It clearly does not fall into 1) Lists of Frequently Asked Questions, 2) Travel guides, 3) Memorials, 4) Instruction manuals, 5) Internet guides, 6) Textbooks and annotated texts, or 7) Plot summaries. The topic is narrowly defined and the listings all meet the selection criteria.

Will never be complete - There are a finite number of malls in New Jersey. The use of a list format provides information regarding ALL malls, even if they don't have an article. Use of a Category only provides information on sites with articles. Putting the malls in their municipalities provides no ready access to this information.

Will never be notable - The article goes beyond a mere list and provides clear, thorough, and documented verifiable information regarding why the shopping mall is a notable topic in the state of New Jersey. The role of the mall is addressed from a historical and first amendment perspective, with relevant, reliable references provided.

While some may argue that no list belongs on Wikipedia, thousands upon thousands do, and this one belongs among them. Alansohn 03:58, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I added a few more malls that were missing. Some, like Hudson Mall, are still in operation, but most of the ones I added are defunct. If we're going to list some dead malls, we might as well list all of them. And heck, I've never even set foot in New Jersey!

By the way, Alansohn, I corrected a typo in your comment above. You said "thousands upon thousands so"; I believe you meant "do". TenPoundHammer 15:35, 2 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The wiki table does not work properly; sorting on the Gross Leaseable Area column results in an alphanumeric character sort, not an integer sort. (10 comes before 2) TelecomNut 16:46, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
