Eurasia and Baltica?? edit

As much as I know, Eurasia is the supercontinent composed from Baltica (~Europe), India, Siberia and all Asiatic subcontinents. Why then is The Western part of Eurasia treated separately from Eurasia? (Soon 2Bfixt!) Rursus 12:34, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The article (this list) is not about supercontinents, but about the shields, platforms, and cratons that comprise continental masses (super- or otherwise). Cheers Geologyguy 23:49, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
The Wikipedia article for the Colorado Plateau seemingly implies that that region resembles a craton, having never deformed, and only transmitted forces on through, to surrounding terranes, and even having rotated as a single mega-block. Is the CP a craton, or craton-like terrane? If so, then this Wikipedia article could be improved by adding reference to the same.66.235.38.214 (talk) 13:44, 31 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
