Talk:List of reduplicated Chilean place names

Insufficient sourcing edit

This article has no valid source for the actual reduplicated content entries that it contains. The source www.dechile.net/?repetidas is a personal website written by an individual, "J. Urquidi". In addition, on his copyright page he says the following:

This site contains material contributed by third parties. These individuals have donated their work in order that it may be published at www.dechile.net.[a]

This implies that there's no editorial control at all; it's just a personal WP:SPS of Urquidi and friends. For example: the third term on the page is Belen-belen, and the reference for that entry is: "Gracias Joaquín".

In addition, fwiw the www.dechile.net/?repetidas page has an error in its own linkage; he attempts to link to his mapudungun page in the second sentence at the top of the page, but the hyperlink is faulty, and leads to his mapuche page instead. He clearly intended to link to this page, but made a mistake, probably a copy-paste error.

Finally, the compilation of a long series of excerpts from the Urquida page (who explicitly claims copyright) may be a copyright violation. A single entry or a few entries might be fair use, but a few dozen seems like duplication of creative content, as that compilation in the aggregate seems like original material that cannot be found elsewhere. Might need to check with a COPYRIGHT gnome to see if the bare list of terms without the follow-up explanations found at the website falls under "creative content" or not. Adding User:Fram.
