Collier? edit

Does this refer to coal mining? If so, can we just use the more common "coal miner"? bd2412 T 00:07, 21 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

My impression was that "collier" is a somewhat archaic usage, even in the UK. It is fairly easy to find UK-based media referring to "coal miners": [1], [2], [3], bd2412 T 18:44, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
That's less precise. Not all coal miners are colliers. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 10:08, 23 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Nurses edit

Unreliabale source [4] says of Cane Hill Hospital:

"In March 1948 a patient who had climbed up onto the roof of his ward was rescued by two nurses, despite it being dark at the time. The nurses were rewarded with the Daily Herald Order of Industrial Heroism for their bravery."
