Presidents of the Socialist Republic of Croatia edit

I propose to move the section on the presidents of the Socialist Republic of Croatia to a separate artice, for the following reasons:

  • they were not heads of state like the presidents since independence, it was an administrative function;
  • the current presidents are not in continuity with their numbering;
  • there is nothing in the artice President of Croatia relating to the presidents of the Socialist Republic of Croatia.

Furthermore, there is no need to add biographies in smallprint, they are already contained in the main articles, and no other list of presidents contains such details.

There was a discussion before and it has been, as I remember, agreed to leave the list like it is now. It shows the continuity of Croatian Republic and is in accordance with constitutional law of Croatia, past and present. No need to separate the heads of states since Croatia was a Republic before 1990. I agree with removing the biographies from the list. --Tuvixer (talk) 16:32, 8 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
No, there was absolutely no consensus to leave it as is, we just ran out of steam. I'll try to make less of a mess of it now. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 12:01, 28 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
The endless complexities of the 1945-1990 period are now in the article Politics of the Socialist Republic of Croatia. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 13:46, 28 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
