Canadian Trackside Guide edit
@Doncram: I've added the citation to Draft:Preserved locomotives in Canada#References, as it's probably the best source for the list. In the most recent edition I have (unfortunately 20 years out of date) the "Preserved Railway and Traction Equipment" section runs to 134 pages, including 14 for Canadian equipment preserved in the U.S. Useddenim (talk) 15:51, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- Useddenim, thanks! By the way, I think I oughta consult with Wikipedia:WikiProject Trains editors and/or others, about defining this list and similar others as preserved locomotives IN a given geographic area, rather than OF an area. I am not a fan of categories defined using "of" an area, and I have seen disputes about "in" vs. "of" at wp:CFD. For _preserved_ locomotives, at least, there exists a specific location for each one, and I personally think a list of all the locomotives one can visit in Canada, say, with a linked map showing each of the locations (like is set up already in Draft:Preserved locomotives in the United States), is of interest to readers and seems somehow more encyclopedically proper to me. What do you think? --Doncram (talk) 16:02, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
