WikiProject Walking edit

To all users with a vested interest in this article. I have recently put forward a proposal for a new WikiProject called WikiProject Walking, with the intention of increasing the scope and accuracy of information about long distance walkers such as those contained within this article. If you could please visit the page and pledge your support, active or passive, it would be appreciated. Bezza84 (talk) 21:10, 4 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Clinton Pryor edit

This guy, Clinton Pryor, is walking from Perth to Canberra, with a support team, as a sort of publicity thing to bring attention to the difficulties and plight of Aboriginal people.

Repeats edit

The Robert Burke & William Wills section are repeating the same info, word per word. What to do about it? AbscissaXY (talk) 14:53, 6 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

It's a bit strange, isn't it? The only sources seem to be (partial) mirrors of Wikipedia, so I think someone needs to rewrite these sections based on reliable sources. Cordless Larry (talk) 06:43, 12 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

to many sub header edit

I deleted the thing about having to many sub headers I think there is a normal amount for the situation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Casper king (talkcontribs) 16:29, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

John McDouell Stuart (and party) 1862 should be added 49.197.164.126 (talk) 23:25, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

John McDouell STUART (1862) and his party should be added … Adelaide to gulf of carpentaria edit

Better effort than Burke & Wills 49.197.164.126 (talk) 23:56, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Tom Fremantle edit

I've reverted the addition of Tom Fremantle again because it needs secondary sources. The one secondary source that was used appears to be from before his walk, so doesn't confirm that it happened. Cordless Larry (talk) 11:25, 26 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
