Netherlands New Guinea under the administration of the Netherlands issued postage stamps from 1950 to 1962. The first two series featured Queen Juliana as the primary design element. She and her husband were featured on a stamp issued in 1962. Other stamps featured local topics. I recognize that a list of 2 items is short. However, that is the way that stamps were issued for this country. Netherlands New Guinea is listed as a separate stamp-issuing entity in all of the major catalogues. I did consider merging this entry with Netherlands Indies but chose not to. The two entities are far apart geographically and only connected through Dutch administration. I did ensure that the information sources were properly listed. Someone before me created the "Lists of people on postage stamps" main list and chose to include Netherlands New Guinea as a main bullet. I chose to complete the action by creating this page. I did review the deletion criteria and still feel that this is a legitimate page. Therefore, I removed the proposed deletion wiki markup text.
