Talk:List of optometric abbreviations

Latest comment: 12 years ago by Manicjedi in topic TOTAL REFORMATTING

From Main Page edit

Abbreviations are often used in optometric practice, and there have been attempts to compile lists of acceptable abbreviations. This article will try to collate this information in one area and also, where appropriate, indicate if the abbreviation may be region specific.

This idea was originally inspired by a thread on the optometry discussion board, theOptom.com which showed an overwhelming desire for such a source. --Moved from main article by Manicjedi (talk) 18:22, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Dispensing Abbreviations edit

I suggest a new section for Dispensing Abbreviations Izopter (talk) 20:05, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Description section edit

I'm going to add another column with a VERY brief description of the abbreviation as I think that would be useful to most people at a glance. Any thoughts on this? --Manicjedi (talk) 18:25, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

TOTAL REFORMATTING edit

I added a description (note) section to every table. I've also been adding id tags to the rows of each abbreviation (safe slug, no /\+% etc) so that individual abbreviations can be linked from articles to increase the visibility and utility of this page.

If you want to help, please bold the name of the abbreviation once you have added an id="slug" to its row so we can tell which abbreviations have been done.
